    Artist Biography

    Professor in China Academy of Art, graduate student advisor: Chen Songxian

    Born in 1941, graduated from the Department of Arts and crafts of Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts in 1965. He has successively served as director of the Department of industrial design and ceramic art of China Academy of Fine Arts and is a member of the academic degree committee of the Academy. Chen is a member of the first China Ceramic master evaluation committee, deputy director of the evaluation committee of the Seventh National Ceramic Exhibition. Member of the Judging Committee of the Sixth National Arts Festival Craft Exhibition. He is excellent at celadon and modern ceramics. He has participated in the "Singapore Contemporary Chinese Celadon Exhibition", "First National Modern Ceramic Art Exhibition", "9th National Art Exhibition", "World Modern Ceramic Art Exhibition" and other major art activities, and his works are collected by the Chinese History Museum and major collection institutions of the United States, Singapore and other countries. His works include "Research on Chinese traditional ceramic art", "decorative patterns of Chinese ancient ceramics", "contemporary style of ceramic art", "traditional ceramic art and modern ceramic art", etc. In 1992, the State Council in China granted "special government allowance", and in 1996, he was listed in "Cambridge World celebrity".
