Senior craftsman, founder of celadon production resume team: Jin Dengxing

Born in August 1931, he was apprenticed in Xitou village celadon factory at the age of 12. In July 1957, he was one of the first batch of training participants and was sent to Jianguo Celadon Factory in Jingdezhen for further study. After finishing his studies, he returned to Longquan Celadon Factory and worked as a major technician for more than 30 years with Xu Chaoxing, Mao Zhengcong and Xia Houwen. After retirement in 1991, he continued to work in Longquan celadon production and research. In 2007, he edited and published Longquan celadon factory history. Mr. Jin is dedicated to celadon. Devoted to technical innovation, and constantly improve the celadon production skills. It is known as the leading authority of Longquan celadon. Focusing on the study of ancient celadon, he has formed his own unique views on the shape, texture and glaze color of ancient celadon, which has created the artistic characteristics of his works: simple, rich and dignified. Mr. Jin has made an important contribution to the inheritance and development of Longquan celadon. He is a respected elder artist and expert in Longquan celadon field.
