On Dec 21th, continued with the opening ceremony of “New Journey of China Porcelain, New Ceramics Art”- 2023 Exhibition for the Works of IAC Chinese Members, Beijing Guozhong Ceramic Art Museum hold a grand ceremony for the donation of Master Li Tinghuai’s art work. In the presence of many domestic and overseas experts and scholars, the inheritor of National Intangible Cultural Heritage, also known as the Chinese Ceramic Design Art Master, Li Tinghuai donates his hand throwing art work “Globular Celadon Vase with Jumping Knife Technics”to Beijing Guozhong Ceramic Art Museum.

In recent years, Li Tinghuai, the president of Zhongru Tinghuai Technology Co., Ltd, the representative inheritor of National Intangible Cultural Heritage (the firing technics of RU Porcelain), the Master of Art of Chinese Ceramic Design, the senior craft artist, art expert with life-long special allowance rewarded by the State Council, National Outstanding Contribution Expert, wins more than 300 awards with his own created Ting Huai Ru Porcelain, successively develop and produce the “Dragon Head Cup” “Live State Porcelain Wellness Cup” ”Live State Porcelain Ting Huai Three Treasures”more than 50 products with patent. His art works are collected by many museums such as Ziguangge of Zhongnanhai, China Ceramic Art Museum, Shanghai Museum, Louvre Museum, British Treasure Museum, Korean Mokpo Museum etc., standing on the international stage 10 times as the national present.

Guozhong Ceramic Art Museum locates in Ping’an Fu, along the Ping’an Road of the central area of Beijing, it’s an antique mansion of the ancient governor full of long and rich historical memories. There are 4000 square meters in the museum, separated to 4 sections, such as the collection area underground, the display area on the first floor, the event service area on the second floor and the office area on the third floor. The design and layout of this museum is completed by a first class design team at home and abroad, which integrates the Chinese traditional cultural elements with the contemporary international concepts, the subtle combination of the classical style and the modern style brings out the best in each other. The consultant team of the museum is made with a group of the world-famous ceramic experts and scholars. The first curator is the renowned ceramic designer and the great educator, Professor Zhang Shouzhi, who is one of the first five experts to restore the ceramic industry in the new era of China. The second curator is Professor Jacques Kaufmann, the well-known ceramic art expert, the former President and current President Emeritus of IAC. The executive curator is Professor Chen Liehan, the master of China Arts and Crafts as well as the China Ceramic Art. The executive team is composed of professionals who have served major ceramic exhibitions inside and outside of China, which could offer domestic and overseas communications and exhibitions for the top ceramic art.

Chen Liehan, the director and professor of Ceramic Art Center, Beijing City University, also known as the executive curator of Beijing Guozhong Ceramic Art Museum, China Arts and Crafts Master, highly praised Master Li Tinghuai’s art work, and said, it was a great honor for Guozhong Art Museum to have a permanent collection of Master Li Tinghuai’s art work as the Ru Porcelain Treasures.

Liu Chuanming, the famous scholar, art historian, and the chief writer of CCTV 100-episode large scale documentary “One Hundred Years Master”, said at the donation ceremony that an excellent work is the external embodiment of a master's artistic cultivation and personality cultivation, it is admirable for Master Li Tinghuai’s hard work to preserve in the innovative and theoretical research of Ru Porcelain for so many years, not only the adhering to the spirit of cultural inheritance and innovation, but also the tirelessly artistic pursuing of Ru porcelain.

Many experts and scholars attend this donation ceremony, such as Mr. Zheng Zhi, the president of Yuanyang Investment Group; Mr. Qin Xinmin, former director of Beijing Contact Center, Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong S.A.R.; Mr. Hou Wenquan, deputy director and the secretary general of China Ceramic Industry Association; Mr. Zhou Guangzhen, former AIC Director-Representative of China Region and standing deputy director of Guozhong Ceramic Art Research Institute; and Mr. Bi Zhengqing, academician of European Academy of Sciences Arts and Letters as well as president of France-China Association.
