From October 28 to 31, the 5thChina-Africa Youth Gala was successfully held.The event was hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and organized by China Song Qing Ling Foundation and the Jiangxi Provincial Government with the theme of "Gathering Youth Dreams, Creating a New Era of China-Africa Relations ----Chinese and African Youth Celebrating the 20thAnniversary of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation".Invited by Jiangxi Provincial Youth Federation, more than 10 student representatives of JCU participated in the China-Africa Youth Gathering.
On Oct. 28, 42 young African delegates for the 5thChina-Africa Youth Gala arrived in Jingdezhen, the capital of porcelain, for the first stop of their trip to Jiangxi. On the afternoon of the same day, the African youth delegation and young artists fromJCUgathered together in the China Ceramic Museum in Jingdezhen. The atmosphere was very warm. Under the guidance of teachers and students of JCU, the delegation tried throwing and color painting by themselves.The young delegates said that it was a very precious experience and they had a deeper understanding of Chinese ceramic culture.
Dozens of media, including Xinhua News Agency, People's Daily and Jiangxi Satellite TV, reported on the event. On November 2nd, Jiangxi Provincial Youth Federation sent a letter expressing thanks to JCU for its great support.
