    Artist Biography

    Liu Ran was born in Liling, Hunan in 1981, senior arts and crafts artist, master of arts and crafts of Hunan Province, member of China Ceramics Association, member of Hunan Ceramics Association, member of Art Committee of Hunan Ceramics Association, member of Hunan Arts and Crafts Association, seventh in Zhuzhou City Member of the 10th and 8th CPPCC, member of the 10th Hunan Youth Federation.
    In 2013, he entered the advanced research class of Zou Liying's Ink Figure Studio at Renmin University of China. In the same year, he established Wuxuetang Art Studio and signed the China Great Wall Painting Academy as a contracted painter.

    Awarded the first Hunan Outstanding Ceramic Artist by Hunan Ceramic Industry Association in 2006
    In April 2007, awarded by the China Collectors Association as the 2007 Chinese Collectors’ Favorite Ceramic Art Elite
    Awarded by the People's Government of Liling City as outstanding skilled personnel in the ceramic industry in 2009
    In 2016, he was awarded the title of Fifth Hunan Arts and Crafts Master by the Hunan Arts and Crafts Association

    In 2002, won the third prize of the 3rd Zhuzhou Art Exhibition
    In 2003, the collective won the Special Contribution Award of Hunan Modern Ceramic Art Exhibition
    Selected in the 8th National Ceramic Art Design Innovation Appraisal in 2006, and won the bronze prize of the first Hunan Arts and Crafts Competition of the "China Red" Cup
    In 2007, he won the silver prize in the selection of art masters and elites loved by Chinese collectors, and the bronze prize in the Zhuzhou Futai Cup Art Calligraphy Competition
    In 2009, he won the Hunan Tourism Commodity Fair Excellence Award, the first Hunan Provincial Excellent Ceramic Art Works Selection Gold Award, and the third Hunan Arts and Crafts Boutique Competition Bronze Award. The work "Eight Immortals" was rated as a special gift by the Liling Municipal People's Government Porcelain, the work "Eighteen Arhats" was rated as the first-class gift porcelain by the People's Government of Liling City, won the Excellent Award of the First Academy Award of Hunan Arts and Crafts Vocational College and was selected to the Capital Museum to participate in the "Historical Glaze" special exhibition
    In 2010, he won the silver prize of the 4th Hunan Arts and Crafts Excellence Competition. The work "Clear Spring Sound" participated in the Shanghai World Expo-Chinese Art National Master Art Treasure Exhibition, and won the Bronze Award of the 9th National Ceramic Art Design Innovation Competition
    In 2011, he won the silver prize of the second Hunan Province Excellent Ceramic Art Works Selection
    Won the Bronze Award of the Second China International Ceramics Fair in 2012
    In 2014, won the Silver Award of the 49th China Arts and Crafts Fair
