      Artist Biography

      Li Zhidan, senior arts and crafts artist, provincial ceramic art master. Born in a family of ceramics in Liling, Hunan, in 1963, he studied painting and calligraphy under the influence of his father Li Xiaonian (a master of arts and crafts) since childhood. In 1980, he was admitted to the art class of Hunan Light Industry School. In 1982, he worked in Qunli Porcelain Factory, engaged in ceramic painting, and was good at designing characters and flowers and birds. His works have been awarded many times and have been awarded by domestic and foreign museums and ceramic lovers

      Collected, the participating work "Colorful and Precious Blessing Bowl" won the silver prize in the 2006 "China Red" Cup First Hunan Arts and Crafts Competition. In 2008, his work "On the Water Side" won the Outstanding Work Award for Academic Exchange in the 43rd International Ceramic Art Conference. In 2009, his work "Raining Lotus Ponds and Fishes Are More Happy" won the Silver Award in the first selection of outstanding ceramic art works in Hunan Province. In 2012, "Maple Forest" won the gold medal. In 2012, "Purple Cloud Revealing Cui" won the silver award.
