      Artist Biography

      Wu Xiaotao, male, born in Liling, Hunan in 1965, senior arts and crafts artist, Hunan Province ceramic art master, standing director of the Ceramic Art Committee of China Ceramic Industry Association, and executive deputy secretary-general of the Art Design Center of China Ceramic Industry Association. He was influenced by the art of his parents since childhood. In 1979, he was admitted to the art apprentice class of Hunan Porcelain Industry Corporation to study ceramic painting. In 1985, he was selected to study painting at the Central Academy of Art and Design. He was taught by famous artists such as Wu Guanzhong, Zhang Ding, Han Meilin, Bai Xueshi, Dai Shunzhi, and many years of professional painting training, which has greatly improved the painting aspect. Applying the knowledge learned to the underglaze multicolored, created some ceramic art works. Participated in many domestic exhibitions and won various gold awards. He is loved and collected by people at home and abroad. He is a young and middle-aged ceramic artist with great strength in contemporary Liling underglaze paint.
