      Artist Biography

      Zhou Yijun male

      A native of Hengshan, Hunan, born in October 1953, a master and professor of Chinese ceramic art.

      He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Hunan Normal University in January 1975, and was subsequently assigned to the Hunan Ceramic Research Institute to engage in ceramic art design and scientific research. He was the deputy director and deputy secretary of the party committee. In 1999, he was transferred to Hunan Light Industry Senior Technical School and served as deputy secretary of the school’s party committee. In 2004, he was transferred to the School of Packaging Design Art of Hunan University of Technology, where he served as the head of the Department of Fine Arts, a professor, and a postgraduate tutor. Standing Director of the Art Committee of China Ceramic Industry Association, Vice Chairman of the Ceramic Master Union of China Ceramic Industry Association, Vice Chairman of the Ceramic Professional Committee of Hunan Province Labor Skills Appraisal, Vice Chairman of the Ceramic Art Committee of the Hunan Artists Association, and Overseas Director of the Malaysian National Caotang Gate Painting Association , Director of Zhuzhou Artists Association, served as a member of the 8th, 9th and 10th National Ceramic Art Design Innovation Evaluation Committee of China Ceramic Industry Association and a member of the Ceramic Art Work Evaluation Committee of the 43rd International Ceramic Art Conference, and the 3rd Chinese Ceramic Art Master Judges.

      For more than 40 years, he has mainly engaged in ceramic art creation design, scientific research and teaching. He has successively participated in the completion of the design and production tasks of ceramics used in Beijing Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, Zhongnanhai Ziguang Pavilion, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other countries. The completed scientific research achievements and art works have won more than 30 various awards at home and abroad. More than 20 academic papers and art works have been published in national art core journals such as "Art Observation" and "Decoration". 6 textbooks and academic works.
