          Artist Biography

          Master of Chinese Traditional Crafts——Mr. Wang Jianwei

          Wang Jianwei, male, from Shenge Town, Yuzhou City, Henan Province, is a master of traditional Chinese crafts and provincial arts and crafts. Member of Henan Arts and Crafts Industry Association, standing director of Yuzhou Jun Porcelain Industry Association, specially invited Jun Porcelain expert in the "Gate of Huayu" column of Henan TV Station, won the title of ceramic art master favorite by Chinese collectors in 2006 and 2007.

          In 1996, the "Jianwei Antique Jun Kiln" was created, which was later renamed as "Song Yuan Jun Porcelain Workshop", specializing in the research and development of Jun porcelain in the Yuan Dynasty and Jun Kiln in the Song Dynasty. Its works penetrate history and have high collection value. Mr. Geng Baochang, an ancient ceramic expert, gave a good evaluation of his works.

          In 2008, the Yuzhou Song and Yuan Jun Porcelain Specimen Museum was established, which is the only non-state-owned Jun Porcelain Specimen Museum approved by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage. The exhibits in the museum not only display Jun porcelain treasures of different periods collected by Wang Jianwei in the past 20 years, more than 100,000 pieces of Jun porcelain fragments from the Song, Jin, and Yuan periods, and raw materials for ancient Jun porcelain, but also display hundreds of creations by Wang Jianwei A piece of modern Jun porcelain treasure. As a provincial master of arts and crafts, curator Wang Jianwei has been committed to the excavation and research of the cultural connotation of Jun porcelain. All the Jun porcelain exhibits in the museum hope to build a Jun porcelain cultural exchange platform and promote the research process of Jun porcelain culture.

          Since 2004, his works have won the "treasure award" and "exquisite award" many times in the previous Junci Cultural Festivals.

          Practicing (art) experience: 1982-1984, Yu County Jun Porcelain Arts and Crafts No. 2 Factory, learning Jun porcelain production technology, installing and firing Jun porcelain kilns.

          1984-1986 Liling Ceramic Technical School, Hunan Province, took two semesters of "ceramic technology".

          From 1986 to 1992, he returned to the original Jun Porcelain Factory No. 2 and engaged in Jun Porcelain glaze preparation and mud tire preparation test, production and management.

          From 1993 to 1996, he was seconded to the Jun Porcelain Research Institute in Yuzhou City to engage in Jun porcelain production and research. Mainly responsible for the kiln firing process.

          From 1997 to 2000, he established a personal Jun Porcelain Workshop-Antique Jun Porcelain Workshop, engaged in the "Re-burning of Jun Porcelain in Yuan Dynasty".

          The Jun Porcelain Workshop established in 2000-now officially changed its name to Song Yuan Jun Porcelain Workshop in Shenge Town, Yuzhou City. Engaged in the refire of Jun porcelain in the Song and Yuan dynasties.

          Among them, Yuzhou Dalongshan Jun Porcelain Culture Co., Ltd. and Yuzhou Song and Yuan Jun Porcelain Specimen Museum were established in 2010.

          In June 2012, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University.

          In 2014, Xuchang Municipal Intangible Cultural Heritage Project "Jun Porcelain Firing Technique" was the representative inheritor.

          Features of the work: Yuan Dynasty Jun porcelain has a simple and majestic shape, bold and bold, and thick glazed surface. It has an important position and influence in the history of Chinese ceramics. Wang Jianwei has a unique technical performance in this project field. He has mastered the special material application of Jun porcelain and glaze in the Yuan Dynasty. He designed and produced the "Four Treasures of Yuan Jun": three-legged furnace, double-line pot, folding edge plate and The lotus bowl has reached the point of "representing the real with the fake".
