Graduated from the Department of Ceramic Art of the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts in 1986. He was a visiting professor at Tsinghua University(School of Fine Arts) and Hebei University. His modern twisted placenta pottery works have visited the world manytimes as a national gift representing the friendly image of our country. Baojun Zhang voluntarily gave up the chance of school distribution after graduation,returned to Hebei to support the development of culture inhis hometown. He has worked more than 30years torestorethetwistedplacenta potterytechnologythat once got lostsince Tang Dynasty,aswellas developanewsystemofit.
