In 2000 I felt it was unnecessary to keep the small sculptures of religious saints that I had produced when I started in ceramics. I wanted to eliminate what I did; At this time, the images of the saints were no longer necessary to understand the religious world in which I was brought up, which made me accept the mysteries of the world and live with the idea of finitude. Everything had already been transfigured. Instead of eliminating them, I incorporated them into another work. I tried to mummify each of these objects that had once meant absolute truths. With cloths, scraps of old sheets and bandages of great pain, soaked in slip, I wrapped the images preserving their affective meanings.
