“瓷的精神”—2021景德镇国际陶瓷艺术双年展2022年2月在景德镇成功举办，获得了广泛好评。展览是落实习近平总书记2019年视察江西时提出的“建设景德镇国家陶瓷文化传承创新试验区，打造对外文化交流新平台“的具体行动，从而以高水平、国际化、可持续的高端展览，讲好中国故事、讲好陶瓷故事、传播中国声音，以陶瓷的创新思想和理念宏扬文化精神及价值。
The Spirit of Ceramics: 2021 Jingdezhen International Ceramic Art Biennale was successfully held in February 2022 in Jingdezhen and received wide acclaim. The exhibition is a concrete action to implement the "construction of Jingdezhen National Ceramic Culture Inheritance and Innovation Pilot Zone and the creation of a new platform for international cultural exchanges" put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his visit to Jiangxi Province in 2019, so as to tell the story of China and ceramics, spread the voice of China with high-level, internationalized and sustainable high-end exhibitions and carry forward the cultural spirit and values with the innovative ideas and concepts of ceramics.
The "Jingdezhen International Ceramic Biennale Excellent Works Touring Exhibition"is an international cultural communication project supported by the National Art Fund this year, reflecting the importance the state attaches to the international communication of ceramic culture. The purpose of the exhibition is to carry forward the "spirit of ceramics", enhance the sense of national cultural identity and firm cultural self-confidence, display the latest creative achievements in the field of ceramic art from all over the world in China, share the creative experience and case studies of outstanding artists, strengthen academic exchanges, and promote the development of ceramic culture, art, industry and ceramic education, expand the way of talent cultivation, and stimulate the vitality of innovation.
The touring exhibition is composed of 100 pieces (sets) of outstanding works from nine countries and regions selected from the juried, invited and parallel exhibitions of the 2021 Jingdezhen International Ceramic Art Biennale 2021, covering ceramic works of different techniques, forms and styles, such as vessels, sculptures, installations, paintings and videos. At the same time, we have arranged academic lectures, dialogues and seminars by renowned professors and scholars from domestic and foreign institutions as well as creative demonstrations by artists in academy studios, sharing the thinking and possibilities of the innovative development of ceramic art from multiple perspectives.
Celadon is the embodiment of oriental wisdom and an important carrier of Asian culture. The everlasting Longquan celadon has been awarded the honor of Human Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, affirming its contribution to world civilization. It is one of the most important elements in the context of Chinese ceramic, and an acknowledgement of the profound beauty shown by the tireless creators who have spent a lifetime in this field. Therefore, choosing Longquan in Zhejiang Province as the first stop of the tour exhibition has an important significance. The touring exhibition not only expresses respect for the craftsmen who have made extraordinary achievements and made outstanding contributions in the history of Longquan celadon development, but also a concrete manifestation of the cooperation between Jingdezhen Ceramic University and Longquan Municipal Government. Taking this as an opportunity, through the high-quality, internationalized exhibition to promote multi-level exchanges and cooperation of Longquan celadon, and with the Longquan Research Institute of Jingdezhen Ceramic University as a link, to carry out a full range of synergistic innovation and diversified international ceramic art exchanges in the development of the industry, academic exchanges, technological research and development, talent training, and jointly create a model for cooperation between universities and ceramic production areas!
